Motivation Monday – Laugh, Love and Courage

My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.

Whether it be friend, family or lover what are you doing to get closer to this goal? What are some of the things you’d like to achieve in life?

  1. First, well said, Faye.

The word “try” struck me as I read it. In my more militant years “try” implied an option. To try to love left failure to chance. I’ve grown since then and more than ever before I realize that we are all fallible, particularly when we are left to ourselves. This is the essence of why we need a Savior. Love is contagious and multi-faceted. My personal daily goal is to watch for new ways to express love whether it’s to forgive, seek deeper understanding (prayer), or standing in faith for my loved ones.

  2. May the highest goal for all us be that that we value and appreciate ourselves for WHO we have uniquely been made to be. and then…love others the same way as we love ourselves. This means that peace within and a clean pure heart free of ALL RUBBISH (repentance, forgiveness accepted as undeserved….ie GRACE) Then from this internal perspective we can honestly and unashamedly love others). The expectation for them to love us in return is immaterial. Working primarily on our own heart FIRST is the beginning of all things. (May be when we are 100 we will still be gently allowing this transformation to be taking place). We must however, begin. Blessings and Love to you and yours.
